The OTS facilitates, encourages and adjudicates clinical, epidemiological and basic scientific research to prevent, diagnose and treat respiratory disease and promote respiratory health. The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the OTS coordinates the review process, prioritizes applications and oversees the distribution of funds for the Ontario Lung Association’s Team Breathe (GIA) award program and Breathing as One award program. These vital programs provides much-needed funding to respiratory research in the province.
